A while back, my news clipping service informed me that my name appeared in some securities-industry blog. Being as vain as the next guy (okay, "more" vain), I immediately clicked on the link.
Wow!!! Was I blown away. If you want to read some insightful, on-the-money Wall Street regulatory/compliance commentary, add the "I Think" site to you bloglist:

The "I Think" blog is the brainchild of Sharon Imhoff, who formed the New Hampshire based Imhoff Consulting Project LLC in 2006, which provides compliance services to registered broker-dealers.

Two decades ago, Sharon Imhoff began her career in New York City as an analyst with Kidder, Peabody & Co.; from there she became a private placement specialist for Alex. Brown & Sons and a regional broker-dealer, offering high-yield, middle market investments to institutional investors. Imhoff later founded and operated an NASD (now FINRA) member firm specializing in mortgage-backed derivatives, and she managed all compliance functions for this small firm, including acting as registered FINOP.
Imhoff drafts and updates written supervisory procedures and anti-money laundering ompliance programs, and has managed and performed over 100 branch office examinations, on-site independent examinations of AML programs and mock FINRA exams for a wide variety of brokerage firms. She also conducts custom research and writing for firms with specific regulatory needs, such as 1017 filings.
I've never met Sharon but we've become fast friends through the technology of the Internet. I welcome her into my network of industry contacts and urge any of you needing regulatory/compliance services to contact her. She knows her stuff.
